Inauguration of Saigon Marina International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City

On the morning of August 19, 2025, the inauguration ceremony of Saigon Marina International Financial Center (Saigon Marina IFC) took place in Ba Son area, No. 2 Ton Duc Thang, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. This project belongs to the Grand Marina Saigon project developed by Masterise Homes.

The event was attended by Politburo member, Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen; Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc, leaders of central ministries, branches and senior leaders from many corporations, financial institutions and domestic and international enterprises.

This is one of 80 large-scale projects nationwide inaugurated and started construction to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), and at the same time marks the beginning of the roadmap for building an International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City.

Saigon Marina IFC was built in the Ba Son area, a land once associated with the golden history of the shipbuilding industry and Saigon commercial port. Located right on the riverbank, the project owns a strategic location when seamlessly connecting the important trade routes Ton Duc Thang - Nguyen Hue, while conveniently accessing the administrative area and the city's financial - business center. The Saigon Marina IFC project is expected to become a new symbol of the financial - commercial center of Ho Chi Minh City, opening up high-class infrastructure to serve global business activities.

The tower consists of 55 floors above ground and 5 basements, with a total floor area of over 106,000 m² on a land area of 6,000 m². This tower becomes one of the tallest buildings in Ho Chi Minh City. Of which, about 87,000 m² is reserved for Class A offices, harmoniously combined with a commercial center, hotel, conference area and high-class utility system, serving a community of more than 10,000 people working regularly.

In terms of design, Saigon Marina IFC impresses with a 9 m high main hall, a system of 34 smart elevators, and a double-layer glass facade to save energy. From floors 35 to 43, a cool green hanging garden opens up an ecological space in the middle of a bustling urban center. With a series of environmentally friendly construction solutions, the project has been honored by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) with a LEED Gold certificate - affirming the international standards of a modern green building

In particular, the project is directly connected to Ba Son station of Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien), becoming a highlight of the TOD urban development model, contributing to reducing ground traffic and shortening travel time in the inner city.

Although not included in the 793-hectare planning of the Ho Chi Minh City International Financial Center (including Ben Thanh ward, Saigon ward, Thu Thiem and Saigon river), Saigon Marina IFC is still considered an iconic opening project, contributing to consolidating the position of Ho Chi Minh City on the journey to becoming a regional financial center.

On August 12, HDBank (Code: HDB) presented to shareholders a plan to move its headquarters from 25 bis Nguyen Thi Minh Khai to Saigon Marina IFC, turning this building into the destination of one of the largest banks in Vietnam.
