According to the Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Urban Railway Management Board, the systems of metro line No. 1, when put into operation, will operate synchronously and almost completely automatically, so testing is required to ensure Ensuring devices can "interchange" with each other is a mandatory requirement to ensure passenger safety when operating trains.
It is expected that there will be about 40 personnel in charge of testing, mostly experts from Europe and Japan, who will be divided into groups to participate in testing and internally calibrating systems such as the first one. rolling stock, information, signals, platform gates, etc. Working hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, during the Lunar New Year holiday of Giap Thin 2024.
Currently, about 440 employees of Urban Railway One Member Limited Liability Company No. 1 (HURC1, Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien metro operator) are receiving theoretical and practical training. The company is also continuing to recruit personnel to receive training and transfer skills from contractors. It is expected that in May 2024, trial operations will begin with the operation of these employees.
Metro line No. 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) has a total of 17 trains, each train includes 3 cars with a train length of 61.5m, all manufactured in Japan. Each train can carry 930 passengers, including 147 sitting passengers and 783 standing passengers. The maximum designed speed is 110km/h (elevated section) and 80km/h (tunnel section).
o date, the metro line No. 1 project has reached a total volume of 97.5%. Among them, package CP1a (underground section from Ben Thanh station to City Theater station) reached 99.98%, package CP1b (underground section from City Theater station to Ba Son station) reached 99.96%, Package CP2 (overhead section and depot) reached 98.32% and package CP3 (procurement of electromechanical equipment, rolling stock, rails and maintenance) reached 94.5%. It is expected that Metro No. 1 will be completed and put into operation from July 2024.
