Nearly 1 km of the Saigon River bank on the Thu Thiem side (the section from Ba Son bridge to Thu Thiem tunnel) will be renovated by Ho Chi Minh City into a public space with auxiliary works to serve the entertainment needs of city residents. The renovation will be done with socialized capital and is expected to be completed before New Year 2024.

In contrast to the modern image of Bach Dang wharf (District 1), the Thu Thiem wharf (Thu Duc city) has a wild scene with luxuriant vegetation. According to the city's plan, nearly 1 km of section from Ba Son bridge to Thu Thiem tunnel will be renovated into a public space for people and tourists to enjoy the scenery.

In addition to the renovation plan, the Ho Chi Minh City government also plans to deploy a number of small business forms suitable for serving public places, preventing the occurrence of street vending.

 

 

 

 

At the mudflats and semi-submerged areas, floating rafts will be installed to grow aquatic plants. The section in front of the church to the roof of Thu Thiem tunnel is 200 m long and is calculated to take advantage of construction barriers combined with planting bamboo and creating green walls along the river bank.

 

 

 

 

According to Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the embellishment of nearly 1 km of riverbank with auxiliary works will be implemented using socialized capital.
