Family reunion is the main reason why 49% of people want to migrate to two centrally run cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Family reunion is also a reason for 30% of people willing to move to Can Tho.
Lam Dong and Da Nang are attractive destinations for those interested in better natural environmental conditions, with the rate of choosing these two provinces and cities being 70% and nearly 40%, respectively.

According to the report, on average across the country, only 0.95% of respondents said they planned to move to another locality in 2023, about 0.65% lower than in 2021 and 2022.
