The smallest district, the highest population density in Vietnam

In 2019, District 4 became the place with the highest population density in the country, about 41,945 people/km2. This is also the only district in the city. Ho Chi Minh City has three sides bordering the river.

Recently, the District People's Committee also proposed to build Tran Dinh Xu bridge connecting with District 1 and Nguyen Khoai bridge connecting with District 7.

 

 

Many narrow streets were previously widened or extended, such as Hoang Dieu and Ben Van Don. Newly built roads such as Khanh Hoi, Tan Vinh, 41, 48, and Ward 1 roads have contributed to the development of the urban road network, contributing to economic development and strengthening. exchanges between residential areas.

Along the three sides of the river are apartment projects, office buildings invested and built such as: Masteri Millennium, Rivergate, Grand Riverside… The price of apartments in District 4 recently increased slightly compared to the same period last year, some projects here have started to reach 100 million/m2.

 

 


In addition, District 4 is also home to famous tourist attractions. In the photo is Nha Rong Wharf located at 1 Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, associated with the event that the young Nguyen Tat Thanh left to find a way to save the country on June 5, 1911. This place is currently the Ho Chi Minh Museum - City Branch. HCM. In more than 20 years of operation, the museum has welcomed nearly 20 million domestic and foreign visitors. With the most unique and ancient architecture in Saigon, Mong Bridge has become a famous tourist destination, attracting many people to come to relax and take pictures. The bridge was built in 1893-1894, invested by the French shipping company. The bridge wall is curved, there are gaps, painted blue (originally the bridge was painted black). The bridge is 128 m long, 5.2 m wide, built of solid steel and used for both pedestrians and motor vehicles.

 

 

Near the intersection of Hoang Dieu - Nguyen Tat Thanh, the giant water tower is nearly 30 m high, located in the campus of the water supply company for more than 47 years. The water tower is built of concrete, shaped like a mushroom with a diameter of about 5 m at the bottom, more than 10 m at the top. This is one of the 8 oldest water castles in the city. Ho Chi Minh City, was built simultaneously with the purpose of stabilizing water sources for areas far from Thu Duc water plant (completed in 1966) such as Go Vap, District 11, District 6...

 

 

Giac Nguyen Communal House is one of the famous spiritual tourist destinations in District 4, established in 1947 by four Elders: Thich Hanh Tru, Thich Thoi An, Thich Hanh Nguyen and Thich Thien Tuong. The pagoda has many areas such as: Main hall, Zen hall, Pho Dong tower, Trai street, Quan Am station. On each occasion of Buddha's birthday, Giac Nguyen communal house is decorated extremely splendidly to welcome worshipers to come here to worship.
