The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has just approved the adjustment of the detailed planning task at the scale of 1/500 of the smart complex (Thu Thiem Eco Smart City) in the functional area 2a (Thu Thiem New Urban Area).

Accordingly, the planning scope is 6 land lots (symbols 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, 2-4, 2-5 and 2-6) belonging to functional area 2a in Thu Thiem urban area. . The total area of ​​the land is nearly 7.5 hectares.

The nature of the planning area is the financial center, commerce, general services and multi-function residential area, with a population of more than 6,500 people.

Of these six land lots, the 1/500 plan shows that the number of floors is planned from 18 to 50 floors (depending on the lot). This complex also has an underground commercial area, underground parking, connecting roads,... The total area of ​​basement construction land is more than 47,600 m2.

The layout of the whole area follows the principle of unity, creating a continuous connection of space and architectural shapes, creating vivid landscape axes and throughout the plots of land with courtyards, lakes, green trees, etc. internal landscape axis.

The City People's Committee notes that the investor is responsible before the law for the legitimacy, accuracy and truthfulness of the data in the detailed planning task dossier, scale 1/500.

Previously, in April 2017, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City issued a decision approving the results of selecting an investor consortium consisting of 4 companies belonging to Lotte Group: Lotte Asset Development, Lotte Shopping, Lotte Hotel and Lotte Engineering and Construction to build a house. investment in the implementation of the above project.

In July 2017, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and Lotte Group (Korea) officially signed a contract to implement the project with a total investment of about 20,100 billion VND (equivalent to nearly 1 billion USD).

Accordingly, Lotte will develop Eco Smart City on a land area of ​​7.45 hectares in Functional Area 2a, in the central core of Thu Thiem New Urban Area.

In order to be selected as the first house, in August 2015, Lotte Group deposited and paid about VND 2,000 billion in land use money to be allocated 6 land lots in Thu Thiem New Urban Area in advance.

However, after that, the Ministry of Planning and Investment requested Ho Chi Minh City to review the investor selection process to implement according to the provisions of the Bidding Law and the Investment Law.

By July 2020, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City proposed to the Prime Minister to soon consider allowing investors to continue implementing the project of Thu Thiem Eco Smart City Smart Complex at functional area 2a in Thu Thiem New Urban Area. Thiem is legally assigned or leased land without auction.
